What is a Support Worker?

A Support Worker is someone who is employed specifically to support vulnerable people and enable them to live a happy and enriched life; it can be one of the most fulfilling and rewarding jobs anyone can do. 

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will support individuals with all aspects of their daily life with the goal of developing their independence. Support Workers will help individuals with daily activities as identified in their individual care and support plans. This could include supervising and supporting cooking, general domestic tasks, travelling on public transport, teaching, social skills to name a few. Workers will also be expected to support individuals with critical life skills such as paying bills, improving employability and participating in community activities.

Working for Citta Care

Citta Care offers a great opportunity for people who want to make a real difference in the lives of the individuals they support. Citta Care welcomes applications from dedicated people who share our philosophy and passion in supporting and encouraging individuals to re-gain their self-esteem and confidence to enable them to live an independent life. 

Staff employed with Citta Care do not always need to have has any previous experience or qualifications as all necessary training will be provided. However, it is essential that you can demonstrate you possess the right values and behaviours to make a positive difference in another's life. It is also crucial that staff can be flexible as a supporters hours vary and will include evenings and weekends to ensure the individual's needs as identifies in their care and support plan can be appropriately met. We will provide you with an advance working rota so you can plan accordingly. Citta Care provide support to individuals in two separate locations; Support Workers can choose to work in either location or across both. 

All staff in support roles within Citta Care will be required to have a successful enhanced level DBS check with the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS). All costs will be covered by Citta Care.
